Liz Grayshon - Life Mediation team member

Meet Liz Grayshon

Previously practising as a Family Lawyer and now as an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Liz offers over 15 years’ experience in law.

Liz is passionate about helping people achieve the best solution for their family.

As a mediator, Liz has no invested interest in any particular outcome other than guiding parents to reach their own options and solutions which will best suit their children’s future needs after separation — be it developmental, educational, medical, emotional, psychological, or special needs.

Whilst working as a Family Lawyer, Liz witnessed the negative impact adversarial and protracted court proceedings can have on parental relationships and inadvertently children, not to mention the monetary cost, extensive timeframes, and emotional toll.

Liz's Qualifications

A Little More About Liz

As an accredited Mediator, Liz does not provide legal advice, but she encourages clients to obtain independent legal advice to ensure they have all the necessary information to make informed decisions – whether at mediation, lawyer negotiations or court proceedings. She often encourages parents, where possible, to have a safe separate outlet for when feelings become overwhelming, and to separate their relationship as ex-partners from their role as parents – enabling them to be emotionally available for their children and make child-focused decisions.

“There is a lot of unnecessary suffering when it comes to conflict resolution. My mission is to reduce that – why suffer when you can learn the skills to negotiate any situation so that all parties come out on top?”

- Lisanne
